Solve : Date and time not set in bios?? |
|
Answer» How do I set date and time in bios? I replaced the battery, and now I can't set the time and date?? The BIOS will never accept the time from an OS...it doesn't work that way. Are you quite sure about that, Patio? Yes I tried the up and down also left and right keys, but it wouldn't let me change anything. No I can't get into windows, my hdd is dead, I am waiting to get a new one. On this screen it also showed low battery, and it shows what kind of computer. I guess it is like a splash screen for Dell. I would copy and paste, but no way I can get anywhere but this one screen. Please explain, for example, how it is that in October, after Windows adjusted the system clock because of the end of Summer Time, the BIOS clock was right when I booted up the next day? If you are correct, that time changes made in the OS cannot affect the BIOS clock, then that should not have happened.Never considered Daylight Savings Time... Just going on years of replacing CMOS batteries...i always had to set the Time manually even if the machine was powered up a few times. Thanx for the heads up ! |
