Answer» Hi superdave no not in recycle bin i have emptied that. what if i asked the question another way? how do i find any saved pictures i want when i use vista search? beacuse at the moment it acts as if there no images saved by me wheni know for a fact that i have pictures saved everywhere, on desktop , sharing folders etc? how sad is that? my stupid problem seems unanswerable............. try searching for ????*.jpg if that doesent work if you have any cmd.exe experience, open cmd.exe and just paste this in set a=%cd:~0,1% & dir %a%:\*.jpg /b /s %temp%\hh & write %temp%\hh wait a minute.. and notepad will load with the paths to all the pictures on ur computer thanks Diablo, apologies for the delayed reply but i was away from the offending laptop and only wanted to ask this when i could access it again. i have no cmd.exe experience! would it be possble for someone to TELL me what is meant buy this? IWOULD really appreciate it. and woiuld love finally once and for all know what photos i have saved ini the hidden recesses of vista! Appreciate anyone s help......... Stop press! i musy have cockde it up the last time. i just did the search again inputting ?*.jpg And there is everything! there are 1369 pics! most are fine but would just like to delete the whole lot. properly!! anyone hknow how i can do that??!!be your best FRIEND! lol *censored* vista.... ok!! having found all the offedning pics , by using vista search and entering ?*.jpg. what i did then was o over pics , and usually delete pics by right pic and it sends to recycle bin, what i was advised to do this time was do the same but hold shift down as i did. it said ' are you sure you want to premanently this FILE?' as against the above message? i guess what im asking is, does that sound effective?in terms of getting rid of her for ever?! or is vista cheekily keeping copies of said images COPIED and replicated elsewhere? as all ways any advice really appreciated, i know this is one longgggggggg running post! |
