Solve : Defragment is incomplete? |

Answer» I am running Windows XP Professional on a DESKTOP computer. I have Norton AntiVirus installed. I tried to RECENTLY defragment my computer and it defragmented all of the files except the Symantec files which were heavily defragmented. How can I fix this?You have to disable norton because it cannot be defragmented while it is running because the fragmented files are in use. Disconnect from the internet (so that you don't get any viruses), close norton, and RUN the defragmenter again. BTW, how do you know its the norton files?Run it from Safe Mode.I know that they are Norton files because when I reviewed the report after DEFRAGMENTATION, it told me what files were fragmented. |
