trying to boost the computer I have TURNED off stuff through the msconfig inclue services. then the computer start, showing the desktop walpaper with no icons, and then log off. as much as I try to log in windows either through administartor or through my regular user, it is immidiately log off.

Do you have the Windows Disc handy? I think you're going to need it...so far I failed to open the CDROM reader. but if I do succeed, then what should I do?It is XPPut the Windows XP CD into the drive, restart the computer and boot from the CD.

MSConfig is NOT the place to turn services on/off. It should only be used for testing purposes...
