Solve : Deleting?

Answer»

When i TRY to delete some files in the program files folder it tells me

"Cannot delet _____:Access is denied.
^File name
Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use."

How do i get around this?

I have WINDOWS xp pro....Restart your computer. Sometimes files can get locked up and won't get freed up until you reboot.
Also check the file permissions.....let us know how you goYou can try in Safe Mode, or better YET, get "MoveOnBoot":

unlocker is one of the best..please give it a try and you will believe meboth PROGRAMS worked very well...thanks alot
-MikeCool For situations like this, I tend to use ProcessExplorer a lot. If you do a search for the file, ProcessExplorer will tell you what program the file is tied to. You can then kill the process for that particular file (WITHOUT disrupting any other files tied to the program) and safely delete it. Probably not as efficient as the other programs, but it's my preferred method.
