Solve : Deleting Corrupt Files In Windows XP?

Answer»

Hi, I'm on a WINDOWSXP Pro, and I would like to KNOW how to delete files that are corrupt, I get a message saying they cant be deleted, this has happened to me a few years ago but cant remember how to do it, what I do remember is to set the computer into 'safe' mode, then GO into 'run' and type a command file, like you would with 'msconfig', does anyone know the command I should use? I think its 'checkdsc' something, I cant get it right. A refresher on how to do this would be great, thanx!
Does this help?

<---------Thanx GX1_Man, I was able run a disk check, but it didnt remove corrupt files, still the same problems, not sure what I should try now....What exactly is corrupt and how do you know?I got it out, I used a program called Unlocker along with the disk scan and that SEEMS to have done the trick, thank you for your help. GLAD you are fixed and thanks for posting back.
