Solve : Deleting files created under old XP account?

Answer»

Some time back I had to restore / re-install Windows XP on this machine. I used a different account name (Jonathan vs Jonathan Thomson). My defrag program shows that there are some very large files (email message store) that are under the directory C:/documents and settings/jonathan thomson. However Windows Explorer will not let me delete that directory or its contents - it tells me the folder is not accessible. I would dearly love to delete these large files so I can re-use the disk space being occupied by them. Can anyone please help. (I'd really not rather re-format the harddrive and re-install everything if I can POSSIBLY avoid it!)You need to take ownership (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308421). Is there some reason you feel a need to hijack EVERY thread? I'm TRYING to assist the OP - a first time poster in this forum. Please allow me to do so.
