Solve : Deleting last windowsize state?

Answer»

First of all props to the new LOOK ! Haven't been here a while.

So here's my PROBLEM:
I use Windows XP HOME Edition.

So when I open any program in Windows it starts in a small window, so I always have to "maximize" the window. Is there a way to set windows to open a program in a maximized window? (I know there is a way, its in the registry, but I dont know what it is)
But lets start here:

Um...
Why on earth do I keep doing that?

And on my behalf, AGAIN:

http://www.therealmartha.com/WANews/duh_Garfield.jpgI'm not sure how you can do this on a grand scale. But for individual programs... Right-click on the program icon and go to Properties. Under the Shortcuts tab, set the Run to Maximized or NORMAL Window.Hmmm I knew/know the "small scale" SOLUTION . Thanx

The registry is big though and I have no idea where to look first
I think I'll look for a Tweak-program... open for more suggestions though CBMatt's suggestion makes the most amount of sense...after all it only has to be done once for each app...on top of all the havoc that can ensue through mucking around in the registry.

I'm wondering what put it in this state currently though...I'm a bit curious myself. What protection do you have, Jeronimo? And how long have you been having this problem?I've got Kaspersky Internet Security, updates daily.
It's been in this state as long as I can remember... pretty annoying
