Solve : Dell Dimension 2400 - Win XP reinstall?

Answer»

Setup...I got different HD installed now(Bought a Used HD formated by COMPUTER Techperson).
I did attemp to reinstall Win XP and I got new PROMPT:
"A problem has been detected and Window has been shutdown to protect damage to your computer.

The problem seem to be caused by the following file: "Framebuf".

The divice drive got stuck in an infinite loo.
This usually indicate problem with the device itself or with the driver programing the hardware incorrectly.

Technical information:
*** STOP:0x000000EA(ox80D8c5f8, ox80Db69b8, ox80Db7108, ox00000001)

What this mean and how to solve it???I got different HD installed now(Bought a Used HD formated by computer Techperson).

PSU & RAM ?

OK.

But there is no O/S installed, the HD is formated and only way to comunicate is vis DOS., which I am not
so familiar with the it.

Very little knowlwdge of DOS.

So , once I am prompted: C:>

What shoud I type(Command)

To format a drive via DOS/Prompt, Type Format.com and then Type The drive letter (EG.. C:\) then you should put in FAT32.

Atleast that's how I think you do it. If you NEED help, you can also Try Format.com /?

Because I am not quite sure, just giving you some heads up info.
I am happy to assist you! People should only post if they actually KNOW what they are talking about.
