Loaded winxp pro over vista on a dell inspiron 530, took dell driver resource cd loaded all drivers, 3 would not load 1)ethernet controller, 2)pci simple communications and 3) video controller, get MESSAGE system does not meet minimum REQUIREMENTS, it is winxp pro with sp2, I cannot get on line without these drivers, please, any response would be appreciated, thanks George.Probably because the drivers on the CD are for Vista and you need XP ones...
You'll have to access another MACHINE that is ONLINE and DLoad them from Dell and transfer via USB...I appreciate your response, you are RIGHT the driver are for Vista, I tried downloading drivers form Dell on wife's computer, get message not the correct configuration, wife has winxp sp1 on her computer. Is there any oterh way o getting these drivers on my system, thanks, GeorgeWhen you go to the Dell site...enter the Service tag # for YOUR machine...then lookup and DLoad the XP drivers if available...

NOTE: Some Vista machines are Vista only and may not have XP drivers....
