I have a DELL Inspiron 1545, following a windows update when i restart my laptop it loads up to the windows sign and then to a black screen with just my cursor.
To load the laptop up I have to turn it off and PERFORM a repair, then restore to a previous point and then the laptop will load up fine.
However, when it then loads up the windows updates are ready again for when i shut down so every time i shut down i am back to square one and have to GO through the whole cycle of restore again.
Any help would be much appreciated. I have also ran test on hard DRIVE and found no problems
My DC Power Jack is broken on my laptop, which means i have to have my laptop always plugged in on charge. COULD this be a reason? Yes...a local shop can replace the DC jack receptacle for not alot of cabbage...
