Answer» Hello! A couple of days ago I spilled cereal on my laptop and the SCREEN went black and stopped working. I FREAKED out and didn't know what to do so I tried wiping it off then got advice to put in rice. I didn't know that I had to turn the laptop off at first so I think the motherboard might have gotten fried in that time it was on got advice to put in riceWhat? Can you remove the keyboard from the laptop? Clean it with rubbing alcohol. Let it dry completely. Quote from: Geek-9pm on July 06, 2015, 09:25:55 PM What? As for the rice thing, it's because rice is apparently really good at absorbing liquids or something like that. But I'm not SURE I can remove the keyboard buttons? What if I can't put them BACK in or break one or something Alcohol is good at reducing water damage It will displace water. Other solvents can work better , but are not available for household use. Hope you get it to work. |
