I have a DELL Laptop Inspiron 3700 that will not boot up I get a hour glass. If I push the power button during this time to shut down Start up and push it again it reboots and works fine.

Is there a way in Windows 2000 to do a selective start up or what other problem could this be? I have never waited longer than 10 minutes to see if it will finally start up. I have Ad-aware and it cannot make it through a whole scan with out getting froze.

He wanted you to take a look at that website for some REASON and then scan for viruses, spyware and trojans. It's Merlins innability to properly use English grammar that often causes confusion.

I was able to get Spybot to run all the way through. It found and repaired 10 problems. I have AVG virus scan and it has one trojan horse backdoor krepper.l that it says it cannot remove to virus vault. I will continue to work on it. Thanks for the page. Quote
