Answer» As concisely as possible: my computer clock stop keeping TIME. replaced battery with correct battery. It refuses to start again. all connections okay. All I get is a faint yellow glow at the start button.Started FINE before i replaced battery.I've seen them dead out of the package...try another one. You did have all power unplugged when you did this correct ?Yes sir..would a dead mother board battrery keep a computer from starting?Not normally...no. But that's where you started so let's re-do it... I will double check..thank you..The most important thing is that i have a working computer..the one i'm using now. i have very much material on the one that has crashed. i think maybe i should remove the hard drives from crashed computer and put them in this one but that might be too complicated for me. I will do as you say..buy a new battery. Is there any other way..any other possibility if you have a hard disk in your hand..to buy something that cab be USED to MOVE the information to a PLACE where i can find it.?? thanks so much for any advice.Slave Drive Tutorial... I will double check..thank you..The most important thing is that i have a working computer..the one i'm using now. i have very much material on the one that has crashed. i think maybe i should remove the hard drives from crashed computer and put them in this one but that might be too complicated for me.
