Solve : Dell Restore Help!!!!?

Answer»

Hello, i want to restore my Dell pc but i can't. Help me now.

When i use the disc to try and restore my pc by clicking the INSTALL windows button, it says my pc is newer then the disc so i believe i have to delete my windows to completly restore my pc.

How do i do it?.So, you're booting from the Dell restore CD? Is that right? I believe you should see some options on an initial screen. What are they?I am on my computer i put the disc in and it shows this http://s27.photobucket.com/albums/c199/P3RFECT/?action=view&current=1-1.jpg
Then when i click install Windows Xp it shows this http://s27.photobucket.com/albums/c199/P3RFECT/?action=view&current=2-1.jpg.You appear to be inserting the CD while Windows is running. Try booting with the CD and press any key when instructed. So restart pc and then put in the disc? i did that and nothing happened.Has your pc start up by CD-Rom? No, put in the disc, i.e. CD, and then restart. Does it boot from the CD?I have put in the disc and restarted and nothing special happens. It doesn't say anymore where i can restart the pc on the disc menu program thing.

Someone TOLD me to use DBan, is that good?I think your pc doesn't boot from CD, you should change CMOS setting to boot from CD first. You don't need DBan. You need to Access/Enter Motherboard BIOS and set CD-ROM as the initial boot device.

Isn't DBan easier? just delete and install windows disc.
Instead of changing motherboard stuff. How do u do it anyways.Go to the link I provided in my last post. It tells you how to access the BIOS.

A computer can boot from a hard drive, a floppy drive, a CD drive, and, if the BIOS allows it, a USB device. Like many COMPUTERS, your computer is apparently set to look for the hard drive first when booting. You need to access the BIOS and change that. Then, once you've formatted your hard drive and reinstalled Windows, you can set hard drive back to initial boot device. What do i exactly do? restart pc and look for partition?Do you mean to access the BIOS?
