Solve : Desk top & tool bar dissapear when onlline?

1.	Solve : Desk top & tool bar dissapear when onlline?
Answer» I sure could use help. When on-line for about ten minutes, my tool bar and my desk top clear except for my SCREEN saver. I am unable to get any RESPONSE on the desk top. I can still continue on-line and LOOK up anything. But when I log out all I see is my screen saver and I have no access to anything. I have to turn off computer to get back the ABILITY to use the computer. Never heard of this before. I have windows xp . I use google for the web. Any ideas I could try to fix this???
