I have tried to edit a photo and when i saved it the editing program crashed and my original photo is now ruined. However, it is still ok on my desktop background. Is there any way to save the desktop background as a photo because if there is then I will be able to have my original photo BACK. Or is there any way to retrieve the original photo from before the editing process? Any help would be fab! Or Windows folder depending on which VER. you are running.Im running windows xp. have been through most of the SYSTEM 32 folder with no luck so far. couldnt fine the winNT folder. any ideas?
You can try USING print screen. Everything, including icons, will be in the capture. You can then paste it into photo editing software and edit it. If there are no icons on the desktops, only the image will be captured.Try searching your system for a file called "Internet Wallpaper" or something like that.  Failing that, search for all .jpgs, .GIFS and .bmps on your system - particularly under the C:\Windows folder.
