Solve : destructive recovery? |
|
Answer» destructive recovory going fine until reformating phase was 81% done. A pop-up said: "Problem in extractin process: hp/bin/SETUP/SETUP/COMMON/SYMSHARE/ASEL.DAV couldn't be opened. I had to press OK to verify that I understood this message before the formatting would continue. After the formatiing finished a black screen came up that said: "CHKDSK is VERIFYING files File record segment 68100 is unreadable File record segment 68102 is unreadable File record segment 68103 is unreadable" Below this message VARIOUS LETTERS and symbols popped up as if the computer was attempting to repair something. The black screen disappeared and I was able to complete the destructive recovery. Should I worry about these MESSAGES or attempt to repair them? My computer seems to be WORKING fine, but I have done a destructive recovery before and there was no "Problem in extracing process" or "CHKDSK to verify files" because a "file record segment is unreadable. Thanks for any help. I really appreciate it. Run HD diagnostic: http://www.tacktech.com/display.cfm?ttid=287 Thank you very much for your help YES WE CAN!Did you run it already ? |
