Solve : Device that works on XP Home, but not XP Pro...?

Answer»

I have two different computers, one with XP Home, the other with XP Pro. When I plug a USB device into the Home, it installs its drivers CORRECTLY and shows up in My Computer. When I try on Pro, it does not appear in My Computer, despite saying it installed correctly. I've tried several USB devices and all behave the same. So, my question is:

What would prevent a device from working on Pro that works on Home?

It may not be an easy answerable question and it's not really a big deal. I am just curious. What device ? ? Or did i miss something...Quote from: davidmcc3486 on November 28, 2007, 02:51:42 PM

Not a big deal! Not a big deal! Where is your SENSE of adventure?

I'm assuming you're working with USB mass storage devices (flash drive?). Try the following LINK:
