Solve : Difference in CD drives?

Answer»

the above link might still help. did you check it out? if it is the operating system, then it won't matter if you have a toshiba OR HP...Lemme check.  That's happening when you launch the Media Center.

In my case everything is normal, that error only pops up when i click the CD icon with no CD inside. It's telling you there is no CD in...So we've got onto a second page to establish that there's nothing wrong? It appears that way... Quote from: vibhor_agarwalin on July 05, 2007, 06:58:39 AM

Hi,

Faced with 2 situations on clicking the CD drive with no CD.

In some CASES it opens up blank.
In other it pops "INVALID function"

How it this difference.

Putting in a CD, is altogether a different story

"Invalid function" often points to a firmware error, flaky CD drive or cable.
