Pirated.As you have seen, a Dell copy will install on another machine, BUT if it is not a Dell, you just get a standard copy of XP that needs to be activated within 30 days or it is non-functional, just like any other retail version of XP. If that copy was issued with a Dell, which means it is an OEM license, I doubt Microsoft will allow that to be activated or used on any machine other than the one it was sold with. That's part of the OEM EULA. So you can continue trying to HACK this pirated version without assistance from us, buy a legitimate copy from Microsoft, or use a free alternative like Linux.
