Solve : Digital Line Detect and C-motech RDEVHG Messages Received?

Answer»

I replied to an e-mail from someone I do not know (no attachments) via my work e-mail address....  Immediately unpon sending, the subject windows messages popped up.  Also, a TON of windows opened on my task bar.  I had to reboot, then immediatly ran quick scan followed by full scan via Symantec anti virus.  56 minutes and no risks so far, but Lotus NOTES e-mail took 20 minutes to perform CONSISTANCY check, and something "didn't look right" but perhpas that is my paranoia (I hope).  I couldn't find anything when I searched in the help.  Has anoyone SEEN this before?

Thanks,

Michelle

[year+ old attachment deleted by admin]Thanks Geek After Dark!Good evening bigmicheworldwide

The c-motech is a real company they produce usb devices, thumb drives, wireless etc. This item can be disabled form MSCONFIG but myself I would only disable it "c-motech" if the device is no longer in use. SAV didn't pick anything up because it really is not a virus / bug.

Hopefully this helps you

Mike  Thanks Mike!  That is very helpful, and I think I have seen that error before (maybe an old Sprint air CARD?)....I ended up running SPYBOT to find lots of spyware and other threats.  Cleaning up thinngs, and hope to be at full speed again soon!

Thanks again!
Michelle
