Solve : DIRUSE shows files I cannot delete from D: drive (VISTA)?

Answer»

I have followed posting to utilize DIRUSE to determine what is eating up space on D: drive (VISTA, Dual-Core). It shows huge Recycle Bin files that I cannot see when I click on computer D: drive and which I cannot DELETE. I have tried everything in that post but do not know how to GET rid of these huge files (most are 'catalogs'). This in turn, I believe, is keeping the computer from operating efficiently. The Video card cannot even load completely which might be directly tied to this problem as well.

Unfortunately, when I first started, I had routed the automatic BACK-up to D drive. That has been since turned off. 3 GB of RAM have been installed, but still I have not enough space to do anything which I think might be associated with this screw up in the D drive.

I have turned on "SHOW hidden files" but not sure if that works for D drive. I still cannot see those files that DIRUSE shows me are on that drive.

Can anyone help me?then try whipeing UR computer and then set every thing up but keep a back up disck of all your stuff

Is that you squall ? ?D drive is most likely your recovery partition, and it shouldn't be touched. If it is recovery partition, it doesn't have any influence on your computer behavior.
