Solve : disable fast shutdown? |

Answer» A while back I installed SBC DSL and my COMPUTER WOULD just retsart instead of shutting down even THOUGH shutdown had been clicked. Their tech showed me how to access a menu from the "RUN" BOX and there I checked the setting "disable fast shutdown"(??) and the computer started shutting down properly. I will need to access this menu again after I do a full recovery on my computer and reinstall the software. Since it took about 3 HOURS on the phone with sbc to finally connect me with someone who knew what they were doing, I think I can fix it myself. Only problem is I can't remember what to type in the "RUN" box to access that menu. Any suggestion would be much appreciated msconfigBINGO! Thanks Merlin |
