Solve : disabled start up? |
|
Answer» i got a application that should be running on start up. (win XP) What is the application?called billing explorer this application has billing explorer client and server. the client will start on start up, and show the login page to use the computer. when the user login, the login name and start time will be recorded and showed on billing explorer server on the OPERATOR computer ( other computer). The billing explorer show the bill based on user duration. my problem, that some user COULD disable the billing explorer client at windows start up, by pressing shift + enter repeated rapidly during start up. i put start up on start up folder and registry, both can be disabled by this way. any body help me ?What about a batch file? Set it up to start 1 minute after the machine comes up. This way they can hit any keys they want but later the program will start anyway. Also does this program start a service on the machine? If not you can look into adding one and forcing it to restart everytime they try to stop it. Last you are not letting them be admins on the machine right? You really should start from the beginning and learn how to properly setup a Windows machine that can be locked down for Internet Cafe purposes....doing it app by app you will be chasing your tail for quite sometime... |
