Hi to all

When I start the computer the scandisk occur. When I start that scandisk the computer was hanged.So.next time I skip it.Now I TRYING to disk defragment but I can do this.Without E: disk defragment start. But I WANT to start it for E:

The error is
Disk Defragment has detected that chkdsk is schduled to run on the E:
Please run chkdsk /f.

The meaning of this error I don't know.

What may I do?Pls someone help me. Select Start --> run.
Type CMD and press enter.
type chkdsk e: /x /f and press enter

After its completed you should be able to defrag.

Thanks Deerpark
But can you tell me what is X.
I type only x or anything other.if so then tell me. I really don't know. The switch /X forces a dismount of the drive. In order to check a drive with chkdsk, the program needs to be the only one using the partition. So if another program is using the drive, chkdsk stops this by dismounting the partition. If you don't use /x, chkdsk will ask you if you want to dismount the drive. So /x just skips that question.

You can also type chkdsk /? to get an explanation on the various switches like /X.is e your second drive or another partition on the same drive? And remember when adding commands you need to leave a space between the forward slash and command.....

chkdsk e: /x/f
Not chkdsk e:/x/fThanks all of you to guide me.
As you said I did it.After chkdsk these are appear.

After chkdsk I open disk defragment & done it.
So all of you thank you so much. ok so everything is good? you have 4k in bad sections. theres no way to fix bad sections so be carefully and maybe start looking into a new hdd. because bad sections spread. so make sure to backup your stuff every once in a while.
