Solve : Disk properties indicate a full disk.?

Answer»

I don't know if this is the correct forum for this request. If not please direct me to the correct forum.

When I check the Properties of my C: drive (the only partition) it indicates that my disk is full (40Gb).
When I add up the Properties of the 1st level folders I can account for less than 16Gb.

Is there a way to remedy this situation.

Thanks.1) Assuming no malware, System Restore is probably using a GREAT deal of space. You can disable system restore (All restore points will be deleted immediately) or USE Disk Cleanup to delete all but the most recent restore point.

2) Check your TEMP folder

3) Download and run treesize to see where the space is being used (http://www.jam-software.com/freeware/)Quote from: Allan on September 27, 2011, 06:50:25 AM
