I have dell e510 with XP MEDIA CENTER 2006 OS and i did a repair using the reinstall disk and I GET these message upon start up ???C:\windows\microsoft.net\framework\v2.0.50727

regsvr32 Mscorwks.dll click [OK]

Reboot and try again. Let me know what happens.the module could not be found is the message I got when i tryed your solution. it also gives a rror in 3.5 framework was being installed as a update
What does the ERROR SAY? We can't see it from here.
Then .NET 3.5 is NOT an upgrade to .NET 2.0, because all .NET versions install is parallel (they are not cumulative). There are issues with the .Net 3.5 update...
Not yet resolved by the Mothership...What the heck, Admiral Bill is waiting for?I forgot to mention to the OP...best temporary solution is uninstalling .net 3.0 for now...Curiously, I just checked my Vista, and I have only 1.1, and 3.5 installed.
But I install them only, when some program asks for it.let me correctly put the messages I get after I get the startup menu,1. CCCInstall.exe-Entry Point Not Found, the procedure entry point GetRequestedRuntimeInfo could not be located in the dynamic link library mscoree.dll 2.NET Framework Initialization Error C:\WINDOWS|Microsoft.NET|Framework\2.050727\mscorwks.dll could not be loaded They come and I must x the boxes two or three times before PROCEEDING and I can not open up my ati catalyst control center. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=0856eacb-4362-4b0d-8edd-aab15c5e04f5&displaylang=ento resolve the problem i had to do a clean install of the operationing system the problems came from a virus called new hura pa virus.
