Solve : DNS Flush?

Answer»

OK, so whenever I try to upload something on PHOTOBUCKET, I get this error message:

and I also can't access the online portion of one of the games I play, getting the message "There was a connection problem. Make sure you are connected to the Internet and can access http://www.eso.com from your web browser.

It seems to me that the problems are related because they happened at the same time (and both photobucket and the online game worked fine before) and that they both seem to be because of connection issues, and RECENTLY I was messing around with my IP settings.

Anyway, I was trouble shooting through the photobucket website, and have done everything they have suggested, except the "DNS flush". When i type in ipconfig /flushdns, it gives me the message "The requested operation requires elevation"

On photobucket, they SAID this was because I needed administrator rights. However, I am the sole user and have the sole account on my computer, and it definitely has admin rights.

So basically, I'm asking how I can do the DNS flush, or maybe someone here can be more helpful than photobucket and suggest to me something better than a LIST of possible solutions.*´¨)

Try to run the Command Prompt with elevated privileges before running the "route" command. Simply right-click the "Command Prompt" and choose to "Run as Administrator". That will initiate the UAC prompt for elevated privileges. If you are a member of the local administrator-group you should simply have to select continue, otherwise you need to enter the administrative password.

Kudos MSDN.

You may also want to run ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew.
