I shut down my computer during a system restore and now when i try to start it I get an error messages saying DNSAPI.DLL FILE is missing.The screen is black and I can go no further. I am using windows 2000 xp Go to Start/Run and type in sfc /scannow and hit Enter...
Have your WIN2K CD handy as it will ask for it.
After it finishes re-boot.2000, or XP?20000 XP......My sister's computer is having the same problem. It is hard to go to 'start' 'run' when you can't get anything but a blank screen. I can't get to the boot screen to get it to boot up on the system disk or come up in safe mode. How do you fix it when you can't boot up? LAKESUSY
