Answer» Which power saving features do you use for your computer or laptop? Do you ever have issues with any of them? What is your overall experience with the features? I clicked "Other (Specify)" because I use AMD Cool 'n' Quiet with my AMD X4 Phenom II 945. I have never had any issues. My overall experience is that it runs NICE and cool when I'm not doing much and ramps up the power when I need it.
The peaks at around 35 and 29 deg C were when I was doing DIVX encoding in VirtualDub. The rest of the time, as you can see, it stays around 20 - 25.
For me I have my laptop set to use a number of power management features when RUNNING on batteries in both win7 as well as Mint 10. However, the only one that usually get's used is Sleep mode; I don't usually leave my laptop unattended/unused long enough for it to hibernate. What is the Hybrid Sleep mode?
I have Windows 7 installed on an HP Compaq d530 CMT tower system and I discovered I could set the computer to hibernate by pressing the power button. http://www.mydigitallife.info/2007/10/29/what-is-hybrid-sleep-and-differences-with-basic-sleep-mode-in-vista

That setting is configurable in Power Options
