Solve : Does anyone know the service "vclone"? help!? |
|
Answer» HEY my problem is when im playing the game call of duty 2 it crashes every 15 mins or so (freezes) either to DESKTOP,reboot or usually requiring me to physically turn off the pc. When i check the system log there is always this error at the time of the crash - The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) FAILED to load: VClone. I used to have virtualclone drive installed but uninstalled it weeks ago. My question is, is there a windows service called vclone that is needed as there is roughly a dozen registry entries relating to vclone. Can i delete these entries safely to check if this is the problem? Im running windows xp with all current hardware drivers and xp sp2 and hotfixes installed. Cheers , Kim. Have you PLAYED the game since uninstalling virtual clone? I think those entries are suspect. Save a copy of the registry, edit it and see what happens. The only other THING I know similar is this: http://www.prineas.com/V/VClone.html |
