|
Answer» My window XP got a problem. If I type in run cmd, msconfig, or something like that, it show an error " windows can not find". but If I type command, it appears dos but here also some command doesn't work. what is the problem? Your question is a bit hard to understand. it appears dos but here also some command doesn't work. What commands don't work? Also, what Operating System are you using?cmd and command are not the same. Some commands don't work in both. command (or command.com) is simply a command-line interpreter. It was used when you worked with MS-DOS and Windows9x. cmd (or cmd.exe), on the other hand, was introduced into Windows NT-based OSes, like 2000 and XP. It's used by these operating systems as the command-line interpreter for issuing commands. It's a Windows 32-bit application. This is why your commands that you normally use with cmd.exe won't work with command.com, which is just kept around for backwards compatibility for older applications. When you access Start->Run->cmd or Start->All Programs->Accessibility->Command Prompt, you're using cmd.exe. Now, as to why Windows can't find them... that could be many reasons. Virus, corruption/deletion, some other error. BEST if one of the malware guys walks you through making SURE your system is clean first.I use XP services park 2. yes.
