Solve : Dos program slowing down windows? |

Answer» I am running windows Xp home edition on a new AMD pc. I noticed whenever i run a DOS program, it slows down the performance of my system dramatically. For example, if at the same time im running Windows media player, when swtiching to the next song, there is a lag. Please tell me why? How do i rectify this problem? The only DOS left in XP is the emulator used to run 16 bit DOS applications. The cmd is a command line shell with a DOS like syntax written for XP. The emulator isn't very good by the way. This is why projects like DOSBox have appeared to provide a BETTER DOS emulation.Yeah -- I noticed the current DOS emulator doesn't support a lot of the old DOS command options / switches from the good ol' days... |
