from the website above: [Hey, experiencing the same with my new computer from Dell. I wrote to Realtek and this is their answer:

Dear Customer
Thanks for your Email.
8201N is a PHYceiver which is a driverless hardware device.
Software / Driver are relative to Network controller ( MAC ) which is
integrated into chipset in such case mostly.
Please contact your mother board maker or chipset manufacturer to obtain
proper driver support.

Regards & Thanks for CHOOSING our product.

the above link has ALL the drivers you need, straight from the horse's mouth.
I would use the Vista Drivers because they are 32 bit and there don't seem to be any drivers for XP.

It would be helpful if you could include details about Quote from: James44445 on July 06, 2011, 10:49:11 PM

Well, some drivers are harder to find than others, there are some options for you.

*Try getting the "universal driver xp" pack to find a similar driver that may your lan driver work for you.
* Use AIDA 64 (everest) to try to find the newest driver for your ethernet to work.

Those may not work, if there are no XP drivers for your hardware then you should go back to Windows 7(which has the drivers to make your hardware work properly.).I AGREE with QuantosLet's make this easy. Go to the website of your SYSTEM manufacturer and look for drivers for your system. Are there XP drivers? If not, it was not designed to RUN XP. Period. If there are, download and install them - start with the chipset driver.
