Solve : Driver Scanner?! For Toshiba Satellite A40? |

Answer» Ok so I received this Toshiba Laptop that needs drivers. I used Uniblue driver scanner last year but the 2010 edition only scanes for driver updates. I need a driver scanner that will tell me what type of driver I need to download from the program. Is there any program like that. go to the downloads page direct from Toshiba's official website. the drivers toshiba has are bad. not all the drivers are there and some are missing files or damagedI highly doubt it. How do you know?He'sa kidding...right ?im not joking, i went on toshibas web site a found a number for their recovery disk help desk and the guy told me it was $45 because it included the WINDOWS XP installation on it. I asked if i could get a disk with just the drivers and he said I could look on the web site so i told him they were bad and missing and he told me whats there is there he can't do NOTHING about it and then he hung up! Im so mad at them. School starts on tuesday and Im without a computer. I would have posted the MACHINE info by now if i needed this resolved... But that's just me.ok you got it 2.70 GHz processor 512 Mb RAM 40 GB hard drive dvd rom cd rw WLAN Toshiba SATELLITE A40 What drivers are missing and how do you know, drivers from Toshiba site are corrupted?well the drivers that are missing are the display, e-thernet, modem(not that ill be needing that) and the Fn keys and the media keys to dvd player. I know there missing or corrupt because the device doesn't work and on the add new hardware it says all are missing but the display. The display is bad because the driver is installed but any media playes bad. You need to go to the Toshiba site...DLoad ALL drivers for that machine and re-install them... MBoard chipset drivers go 1st...There are 4 models of A40. Which one is yours? S161 S1611 S270 S2701 |
