Answer» My HDD packed up on my HP G56 laptop. I put a new one in and installed WINDOWS 7 home. The graphics card was detected as a standard VGA and the drivers were installed automatically as this. How can I install the correct drivers for the graphic card. I don't know what card is in the laptop. Is there a WAY of finding this out without opening up the laptop?LOOK in Device Manager - Display Adapter
You should always obtain drivers for your laptop from the laptop's web site (HP in your case)Don't you still have the Driver CD that shipped with the laptop ? ? If so re-install ALL drivers...chipset drivers 1st.
If you don't have the disc travel to the manuf. site...ENTER your Model # and OS...and grab them all.
