Solve : dsl modem reinstallation problem?

i have a dsl modem alcatel lucent 20a

and i try to reinstall it but it says 'dsl modem ALREADY installed to upgrade the software you must remove the CURRENT sofware and run the setup again'
i also removed the lucent folder in PROGRAM files and there is no name of it in add/remove prog
please PROVIDE a solutionHave you CONTACTED your ISP for support on your problem?
