Solve : DST Bug - Windows ME + Outlook Express 6?

Answer»

hey ppl, i already UPDATED my operating system clock (Windows Me) but i have no idea how to update the time on Outlook Express 6. there's patches on the web but none of them support my os. help, PLEASE, email is crucial on my computer  :-?Question here...

Why would you have to update the time on Outlook Express if you have already updated your system clock? That's what I asked myself when i changed the system time. It's set to the current east COAST time zone but my Outlook Express is still an hour behind.   :-/DLoad and run tzedit From the Mothership...
Set it to start the first Sunday of NOVEMBER and end on the 2nd Sunday in March.
This should fix all MS products.
Remember as well to change the system BIOS clock as well....wooooo!!!!!! well, i Dloaded it from MS and it didn't work... so then i Dloaded it from some other site i found and i edited the eastern time zone to the dates you specified and my outlook express is working fine now

thnx so much for telling me about tzedit, i was scrambling all over the web last night and everything led to tzmove but never tzedit

now, you also told me about this BIOS clock (another thing that's new to me). how do i change that clock as well? Quote

Or you can go here, to Microsoft's site:

http://support.microsoft.com/gp/cp_dstWatch your screen at bootup it will say "press DELETE to enter setup" or F2 F$ etc.
Once in setup you will see a page with the time an date settings...adjust accordingly.
Hit F10 to exit and save your changes.Nice job, patio...

I stand, humbled, in your prescence.
