Answer» I want to dual boot with Windows 7 and XP. I hear I need to PARTITION my hard drive. This is new to me so I'm not quite SURE whats going on. When I do this does it MEAN I also have to reformat my drive or lose information? Also any links or suggested methods of partitioning? Thank you.Okay well I guess I got the BASIC idea and materials... this is how I have it setup: -GParted is extracted to a USB flash drive waiting to be booted into... -Windows 7 installation will be extracted on my external USB Hard drive All I'm wondering is once it's partitioned and I run the setup, how will it know where to install? How do I know it's not installing over XP? And also I'm still wondering a little if partitioning FORMATS the drive?
