I've just set up a dual BOOT system Windows 7 Ultimate (RC) with Windows XP SP3.

Windows 7 works fine.
Windows Xp does not.

After a long battle to get it recognised by EasyBCD 2 it would finally get to the blue welcome screen (but with no text) where the screen would go grey for a minute then go back to the welcome screen and continually play the log on/log off sounds.

Been googling with no help. Any ideas?Safe mode gets it to the same point, Windows XP blue welcome screen then screen flashes on/off continually. And XP worked okay before you installed 7?More info on how this was setup would be helpful...Hey? I really don't think that applies, the system already boots.....
