Answer» I have a Dell E6410 and I can't get a second display to work on it. When I got into the display options and try to DETECT a second monitor or projector hooked to it, it doesn't detect anything. The drivers are all updated and I've tried using the function + F8 key to get it to work. I noticed today that if I'm in the BIOS and I CLOSE the lid to the laptop it will display on the projector, but once Windows BOOTS it won't display on the projector no matter what I do.Have you already done this? The Dell laptop does not WITCH to external monitor unless there is a monitor in place and you have the right drivers installed.
