Answer» Hi I've not used Vista, someone wants to put xp sp2 on his laptop which as Vista installed. 1. can it be DONE? 2. will the be any problems or hiccups? he want to run programs but Vista willnot reconise the program, as it is not the latest version. so by running XP on his particioned drive, will this solve the PROBLEM. any comments welcome. regards PThe problem you might find dualbooting, is that XPs boot loader will not recognize Vista, so you could lose the ability to run Vista. hi there you of course install win xp on the notebook......i have a compaq presario V6211AU and it came with vista home edition.it was really slow cos it came with only 512 mb RAM so what i did was just formated the recovery partition and installed win xp on it.... there are two problems which u will face here
