I am running win xp pro and I WANT to to know if there is any free programs that will let me convert a DVD or take clips from a DVD and convert then to AVI or MPEG - 2 files? I would want it to take the DVD as NTSC for USA and convert it as is.

I have tryed a Fue that I would have to pay for and they are not GOOD so I was thinking maybe there is one that is good and free?

I have a DVD Drive and I do a lot of video editing.
I want to rip Video Clips from DVDs but rip them as is.
Same frame RATE same audio bit depth and same audio FREQ.
And I gess when it rip them have them rip to AVI or MPEG 2
I am looking for a Freeware program and I when to Majorgeeks.com and I did find a lot of free programs.

But I think I got over wellmed so can anyone when you have time just tell me of a Name of a program to try?
