Answer» I have a computer with one HDD which has a Dynamic Disk with two 25GB Dynamic Volumes and one 185GB Dynamic Volume.
I wanted to USE Easeus Partition Master to extend the 25GB system volume into the other 25GB volume to get a larger system volume.
Partition Master Help kindly informed me that Dynamic Volumes could not be extended, and only Basic Disks could be edited.
Google kindly LED me here:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/309044
where I LEARNED that you can convert Dynamic to Basic, but you have to delete ALL dynamic volumes first and advises to back up data.
I don't mind about the data, but I wanted to ASK if I can image the System Dynamic Volume and then restore it to the larger Basic Disk System Partition after I finish the conversion to Basic and do the partition sizing.
Thanks.http://www.wilderssecurity.com/archive/index.php/t-78358.htmlThanks Allan. That's a perfect answer. Backup the whole drive, Dynamic out, Basic In.
GREAT!You're welcome
