Answer»

I would like to add images into the body of my email message, not as an attachmentWell, we need to know how you do your email.  Do you use webmail, meaning access your email by web browser, or do you use email SOFTWARE (Outlook, Windows Mail, etc.) installed on your computer?I use Yahoo mail thru Internet browserI don't know.  I found some references on the topic but still could not get it to work.  The references:

http://email.about.com/od/yahoomailtip1/qt/How_to_Send_Emails_Using_Rich_Formatting_with_Yahoo_Mail.htmHi,
Please follow the below steps:

•Highlight the image — just the image — with your mouse.
•Press Ctrl-C (Windows, Linux) or Command-C (MAC).
•Position the cursor where you want the image to show up in an email you are composing in Yahoo! Mail.
•Make sure you have enabled the Yahoo! Mail rich text editor.
•Hit Ctrl-V (Windows and Linux) or Command-V (Mac) to PASTE the image.
•If you use an image uploaded to a free image hosting service:
•Link the image to the image's page address at the free image hosting service (something resembling "http://img.imageshack.us/my.php?image=example.jpg" if you use ImageShack, for example).
•Continue editing (and adding more images).
•Finally, send your Yahoo! Mail message as usual.

Hope this works, because it has worked for me. Quote from: pcs365_2 on June 10, 2010, 12:18:21 AM

Yes, that's the usual copy and paste procedure that works in many scenarios but it doesn't work with Yahoo! Mail.  I've tried it with IE8 and Firefox and it won't work.  Quote from: soybean on June 10, 2010, 07:08:22 AM

When did you try it???
When I am trying the same steps why it is working for me then? Quote from: pcs365_2 on June 10, 2010, 09:20:58 PM
When did you try it???
Oh, sometime yesterday AFTERNOON.  Why does it matter when I tried it?

I don't know.  If I use Ctrl/C to copy and Ctrl/V to paste to Yahoo! Mail, it doesn't work.  If I right click on a photo and select copy and then place my mouse pointer in the Yahoo! Mail and right click, the Paste option is greyed out.

Can you explain step-by-step exactly how you do it? He may have Yahoo Plus...
Doesn't work here either Soybean...

There is an extension for ThunderBird that allows you to run it thru there...

WebMailHi,
The image file you want to add to your mail, you need to open it with Internet Explorer then select it like you select text using Click and Drag.
