Recently while gaming my graphics card(880GT) fan gave out. I unplugged the card and looked it over, and put it back in. After doing so my entire computer had slowed down. I thought maybe something had happened to the card so i traded it in for a 9800GT and after uninstalling my old drivers and installing my NEW ONES the problem persisted. I have over 1GB of RAM left. During gaming i cant tell any difference in the speed between the highest and the lowest graphics quality.

2.21 GHz, 2.00GB of RAM(over 1GB is free)
I have 100 GB of free SPACE on my C drive.
The only Antivirus i have is AVG.
Thanks for your time!Just an update: I have run defrag, disk clean-up, SPY bot, adware scans, antivirus scans, Hijack this and i have even shut down all unnecessary applications to no avail, still the same speed as before...I partitioned my drive, formatted and everything is running SMOOTHLY now.Try to get the newest graphic card driver, what I mean is to update your driver.
