Solve : Epeon printer?

Answer»

Mt PC works OK with my Epson printer but my laptop will not recognise it. I have tried reinstalling the programme and changed USB ports.
I have recently installed Norton. COULD this be a solution?
You've fail to mention what Operating Sytem your PC and Laptop is!

and PERSONALLY, i dont think installing Norton is a solution to anything! The printer drivers need to be installed on the laptop also....have you DONE this yet ? ?Thanks I am operating Vista. Of course I installed the drivers on the laptop. twice, in fact.I have also tried installing with the printer disconnected.Sorry, re above. This should read it is Vista on the laptop and W7 on the PCVista drivers ? ?
USB printers should remain dis-connected during install until prompted...
Remove the printer in Device Manager...
Use Add/Remove to uninstall the software...
Power down and unplug the USB cable...
Power up and try again. Quote from: reddevilggg on February 11, 2011, 07:47:58 AM

unless he meant that Norton caused the conflict.

and patio, I had somoe usb devices automatically install drivers when I plugged them into my machine running vista (some needed the driver cd). Printers are no different?Yes as a matter of fact....printers are different. Thanks to all. It was a bad connection on the printer Quote from: patio on February 11, 2011, 03:51:51 PM
