If you ever do get into Dos in ME then run format you should appreciate that you will delete your entire operating system and will be UNABLE to do anything - but I don't THINK you will be able to format the disk while still using it. Your best bet is to use a bootdisk from Bootdisk.com, get to the A: prompt then run fdisk/format from there then go on to re-install your OS of choice. Good luck D...
