Solve : Error 1918. Error installing ODBC driver?

I am a novice and am having a real problem installing a proram downloaded from Bayer called Winglucofacts to monitor my wife's diabetes.
The subject heading is the error mesage I get which is followed by "ODBC error 13: Could not load the set up or translator library. Verify that the file Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb) exists and that you can access it."
I have made a very tentative search of the Windows files and the ODBC folder is empty.
Can anyone help me please. Many thanks in advance. Peter_Edward.

https://www.ascensiastore.com/Thanks street1 for your help. I should have noticed that the PRO version of Winglucofacts is not compatible with Windows ME. However, the standard verion is ok and I have also downloaded this and tried to install with the same error message occurring.

The special cable mentioned is for linking the blood glucose meter to the pc. I have this but the info. cannot be downloaded until the program is up and running.

Where do I go from here.

Did you un-install the Pro version before installing the other ? ?
Not sure if this would make a difference, but it might.

patio.  8-)Thanks street1 for your efforts on my behalf. You obviously SPENT quite some time trying to assist.

Unfortunately, your suggestions did not work but by CHANCE I happened to receive an email from Bayer asking if the downloaded program was working ok.

I therefore told them of my difficulties (Thanks Raptor your suggestion worked!and they advised me to download Microsoft Data Access COMPONENTS (MDAC) 2.8.

I did so and the software is now up and running.
